1.0 JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Incoming Component Technician plays a pivotal role in ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, and safety standards. Responsibilities include conducting visual, physical, functional, and analytical tests on incoming components and adhering to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

2.0 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Component Incoming
  • Accurately and consistently follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Inspection Procedures, Test Methods, and verbal instructions.
  • Perform incoming GMP component sampling, testing, and approval.
  • Conducting visual, physical, functional, and analytical tests on incoming components against purchase orders, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Identify non-conforming materials and initiate appropriate quality hold or rejection processes.
  • Maintain accurate written and digital records.
  • Scan component Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and save them to the SharePoint site.
  • Scan Certificate of Conformance (COCs), Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for incoming components and save them to the lab drive.
  • Maintain quality inspection area cleanliness.
  • Other duties as assigned.

3.0 SKILLS
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate records.
  • Strong math and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Experience with ERP or inventory management systems.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
  • Ability to lift to 60lbs.



4.0 Necessary Education and Experience
  • Postsecondary coursework OR
  • Two years of manufacturing quality inspection, or equivalent.
  • Use of PIV, Forklift, or the ability to learn and operate safely.
  • Familiarity working in a GMP environment and with GMP requirements.
  • Experience with standard inspection equipment and methods including Scales, Balances, Calipers, Micrometers and other measurement equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Experience with standard computer software such as Microsoft Office applications.
